Small place but this is the best in Hattiesburg. Perfect Poboys and Gumbo. Service is great. We were in Hattiesburg for 3 days, after eating at Art of Roux, we came back the second time and if in Hattiesburg again, will definitely eat here again. Don't skip this place, it's worth stopping and eating a wonderful Poboy and Gumbo.
Food here was outstanding. We stopped here on our way back to Dallas from Destin. Everyone loved what they ordered. Could tell the food was fresh and not generic frozen food. Service was great also. Will be back on our next drive thru.
I've been a repeat customer for the last 2-3 years. The food is always high quality. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is always local-themed for USM and surrounding businesses.

If the parking lot is full, definitely circle around and come back! Friendly service and amazing food. The jambalaya is arguably some of the best around. You won’t leave hungry for sure.
Stopped on our way from Jacksonville to Shreveport for lunch. I had the Trinity. Sooo good! I’ve been wanting some good Cajun food and they delivered! The Jambalaya was perfectly cooked. I’m not a huge fan of gumbo because everyone seems to cook it differently but it was also really good! The red beans and rice was also tasty. It is a small cafe so not a full size restaurant but was clean and cozy. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Definitely recommend!
This was some of the best service I’ve had in Hattiesburg. Carson, the young man running the counter, really knew the menu, gave solid recommendations, and carried himself like he owned the place. He didn’t—but he treated us and the whole experience with a level of care and professionalism I haven’t seen in a long time. Whoever owns this place needs to shake this guy’s hand and make sure he sticks around.
Art of Roux is one of the best places in town! Their fried seafood is some of the best that you'll find in this entire area. The Poboys are amazing! The fries along with their fancy sauce is an addiction waiting to happen! The red beans and rice are to die for. It is consistently good as the excellent quality is always the same. Dillan knows his seasonings! Everything is seasoned to perfection! There's nothing that they make that won't be excellent.
